"Choosing Me"
My Contributing Chapter Title:
Breaking Barriers & Finding Freedom
I often come face to face with women who are at the end of their rope. They’re carrying a million responsibilities: running their households, managing businesses, striving for academic success, chasing a never-ending road of achievement, and filling every gap for everyone around them. Add on roles like CEO, mother, student, caregiver, and minister—and suddenly the idea of Choosing Me becomes foreign. It can seem downright impossible when you’re surrounded by voices that say busyness is a badge of honor.
And I dare say, it is even more foreign if we haven’t found a way to consistently—and I mean consistently—choose God for guidance daily, especially given all the roles we operate in. You see, we’re taught to push, to strive, to accomplish, and to keep going until we have nothing left. But that approach leads to nothing but emptiness. My goal here is to disrupt that cycle a bit, to challenge you...
